Understanding the difference between “STAY” and “AWAY” mode

Understanding the difference between “STAY” and “AWAY” mode:
To increase convenience, alarm systems are now equipped with various arming modes, such as the “AWAY” and “STAY” mode. However, what do these modes mean? Today, we hope to help you gain a better insight on these commonly used arming modes.
Away Mode:
When using the AWAY mode, owners are activating all the detectors inside and outside of their house. When a zone is breached, the control panel will send a signal to sound the alarm. Therefore, prior to using the AWAY mode, all doors and windows must be properly closed and afterwards, the “Ready” status should appear on the keypad. In short, the AWAY mode is used when no one is home.
STAY mode:
As the name suggests, STAY mode is typically used when someone is at home. When using this mode, devices (such as motion detectors) inside your home will be bypassed, while other devices (such as door/window magnetic contacts) will remain activated. Hence, you can stay in your home with peace of mind, knowing that it is well-secured.
